Add the autograph of the 1994 NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year — captured on Riddell's newest collector aesthetic, the 2026 Retro Collection, on the Colts canvas of the franchise that drafted Faulk 2nd overall in 1994 — to your collection with this Marshall Faulk Autographed Indianapolis Colts Riddell Retro Collection Speed Mini Football Helmet — JSA Authenticated. Faulk signed this Riddell Speed Mini in the Retro Collection design — Riddell's newest licensed collector aesthetic, launched March 23, 2026 across 31 NFL teams plus the NFL Shield and Pro Football Hall of Fame. Faulk's Colts career (1994-1998) established the foundational credentials that made him a Hall of Fame candidate: 1994 NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year and 1994 Pro Bowl MVP — making him the first player in NFL history to win both honors in the same season — four 1,000-yard rushing seasons across five Colts years, and induction into the Indianapolis Colts Ring of Honor. Authenticated by James Spence Authentication with a numbered sticker and certificate of authenticity verifiable at JSA's official website.

The Riddell Retro Collection — Riddell's Newest Aesthetic
The Riddell Retro Collection is the newest licensed collector helmet aesthetic from Riddell, launched on March 23, 2026 across 31 NFL teams plus the NFL Shield and Pro Football Hall of Fame variants. Per Riddell's own product launch language, the Retro Collection delivers a "nostalgic, classic, vintage" aesthetic designed for "collectors and fans who dig a little nostalgia with their game-day style." The collection is available in four construction tiers — Speed Mini, Speed Replica Full Size, Speed Authentic, and Speed Flex. The Retro Collection is a NEW pure-collector aesthetic line distinct from era-specific Throwback helmets (which replicate specific historical team designs from particular years). The Retro aesthetic delivers a generalized vintage-inspired styling rather than reproducing any single era of the Colts' design history — making it a contemporary collector canvas at a premium tier within Riddell's recent alternate program releases.
1994 — The First Player Ever to Win OROY AND Pro Bowl MVP in the Same Season
Marshall Faulk's 1994 rookie season produced one of the most decorated debut campaigns in NFL history. As the 2nd overall pick of the 1994 NFL Draft out of San Diego State, Faulk rushed for 1,282 yards and 11 touchdowns plus 522 receiving yards (52 receptions) — winning the 1994 NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year Award. He then traveled to the Pro Bowl and won 1994 Pro Bowl MVP honors with 180 rushing yards on 13 carries plus a 49-yard kick return touchdown — making him the first player in NFL history to win BOTH NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year AND Pro Bowl MVP in the same season. The dual-award rookie season signaled that the Colts had drafted a special talent, and the foundational credentials Faulk built across his 5 Colts seasons (1994-1998) — four 1,000-yard rushing seasons, two Pro Bowl selections, two Second-Team All-Pro honors — established the trade value that ultimately brought him to the Rams in 1999 to anchor "The Greatest Show on Turf" and his eventual Hall of Fame induction.
The Colts Career — Foundational Credentials
Faulk's 5 seasons with the Indianapolis Colts (1994-1998) produced the foundational career credentials that later anchored his Hall of Fame case. Across his Colts tenure, he rushed for 5,320 yards (4 seasons of 1,000+ rushing yards: 1994, 1995, 1997, 1998), caught 297 passes for 2,804 receiving yards, scored 42 rushing touchdowns and 12 receiving touchdowns, and made two Pro Bowl appearances (1994, 1995). He led the Colts in rushing each season of his Colts tenure and consistently produced as one of the NFL's most versatile dual-threat running backs. The Colts traded him to the St. Louis Rams in April 1999 in exchange for a 2nd-round and 5th-round draft pick — a transaction the franchise made because they had drafted Edgerrin James 4th overall in the 1999 draft to replace Faulk. The Colts have since inducted Faulk into the Indianapolis Colts Ring of Honor, recognizing his foundational role in the franchise's history.
