Cougar Football Legend: Mark Rypien Signed Washington State Cougars Throwback Riddell VSR4 Mini Helmet
Celebrate the collegiate roots of one of Washington State University's iconic quarterbacks with this Mark Rypien Signed Washington State Cougars Throwback Riddell (VSR4) Mini Helmet. Hand-signed in crisp paint marker / metallic pen across the crimson shell by 2-time Super Bowl Champion, 2-time Pro Bowler, and Super Bowl XXVI MVP quarterback Mark Rypien, this collectible half-scale helmet is an exceptional addition to any Cougars or college football memorabilia collection.
Before achieving NFL glory as the first Canadian-born quarterback to start and win a Super Bowl, Rypien was a standout signal-caller in Pullman for the Washington State Cougars (1981–1985). Overcoming adversity and injuries, Rypien led WSU to impressive Pac-10 victories while showcasing the elite arm strength that made him a legendary passer. Drafted in 1986, he went on to lead Washington to a 14-2 record and a victory in Super Bowl XXVI, where he was named Most Valuable Player. Manufactured by Riddell, the iconic standard in football headwear, this classic retro VSR4 mini helmet features realistic interior foam padding, a face mask, official throwback Washington State Cougars logo decals, and a chin strap. It serves as an extraordinary centerpiece for clear acrylic display cases, executive sports offices, fan caves, or college football displays. Every signature is verified 100% authentic under the strict standards of Schwartz Sports Authentication.
